Summer Round-Up

It’s been a little while since I’ve done a general update, so I thought I would do that today.

A few people have been asking me how my health & fitness goals are going so let’s start there.

General trend as you can see is going down which is always a good sign! At my current rate, I will hit milestone 3/10 the first week of October. I’m currently working a 1lb/week loss rate, and it’s all been going well, even with all the social outings I’ve been partaking in. If I continue to follow my plan, I’ll hit milestone 10/10 – a.k.a, goal, in mid-late February 2018.

Not gonna lie that the upcoming wedding is serving as a motivational booster this time around, but also the slow and steady rate is making it a reasonably painless experience right now haha.

Dakota and I have been spending a lot of quality time together exploring all the trails nearby. It’s been a great way to unwind as well as get some much needed steps in. Speaking of steps:

My step count has been higher than average lately as a result – definitely happy about that! Though my leggies are certainly sore from all the hills.

He doesn’t seem to mind so much.

In addition to all this, I have been super busy with a number of projects.
I’m editing my first novel that I finished a few weeks back, a fictional young-adult novel called The Warehouse in which a a boy comes across an abandoned warehouse while on summer holiday at his grandparents farm and every time he revisits it, the interior and exterior has drastically changed. It’s a coming-of-age story that dives into how grief affects social relationships. That’s all I’ll say about that until it’s fully complete, and I’m planning on self-publishing it via Amazon.

At the same time, I’m now about 11,000 words into my second novel. A mystery book which follows three camp counselors and their group of young campers into the Algonquin Park for a portage trip and one of the campers goes missing. Will they find them? Who knows! Well, I do, but you’ll have to read to find out. I plan on having this one finished by the end of the year – fully finished, that means revised and edited, too. A lofty goal considering I’m still editing the first but I learned so much about how to outline a novel from my first experience that I’m really motoring along with this one.
Speaking of goals, this goofy guy destroyed my “Make It Happen” journal – literally just a journal where I plan out everything I’d like to accomplish over the course of a year. Needless to say it’s not going to stop me from working towards my goals but I wont be able to look back and confirm what I’ve done now! If anyone wants to go to Chapters and get me a new book, that’d be swell.

What else, what else…
Ah, yes. For those following my progress with my Live Like Wolves apparel line, I have exciting news. We’ll be participating in the second ever Dog Fest Muskoka on July 7th, 2018! We’re planning on rolling out all new 100% made in Canada apparel for this special day, as well as mugs, travelers and other cool pieces 🙂 A friend of mine is currently working on our brand new design that will also be unveiled at this time along with an updated website. So mark it down on your calendars now!

I think that’s all at this time. Hope you’ve been enjoying my celebrity interviews, there are many more to come!
