As you may already know, on Saturday June 25th I participated in the Toronto Waterfront 10k – a really lovely course actually that hugged Lake Ontario for most of its duration.
This was my 3rd race this summer, and it was the one I was hoping to have the best finishing time at – which, thankfully, I succeeded in! My chip time finished at 58:01, which is about 3 minutes better than my last race (if I’m recalling correctly). 3 minutes might not seem like much improvement but I think it’s pretty great!
Overall Place: 2040/5248
Place In Gender: 833/2842 (aww yeahhh!!)
Place in Age Group: 191/610 (woohoo!!)
Feeling pretty good about myself with those results! It was a tough race, more hilly than I imagined it would be, but it was a blast.
I don’t have another race lined up yet but I’ll likely get a couple more in before the summer is through 🙂
I’d post some photos but unlike the Run for Women race, I have to pay to download them, and I just don’t think a bad picture of me sweating and running is worth a $30.00 download. Thanks but no thanks, Waterfront 10K photographers.
