Another week, another Wednesday, another Weigh-In!
Week 1 Weight: 162.4lb

Today’s Weight: 155.2lb
Current Goal Weight: 155
Ultimate Goal Weight: 145lb
To date I’m down a total of 7.2lb.
So I decided to reassess my fitness goals, because – well, a few reasons really. I had initially planned (read: hoped) that I would be able to continue biking to work until about November, but pretty much as soon as Fall hit I become a massive suck with the cold, so that’s out. With running, as well – my RunKeeper plan was supposed to keep me running outside for a couple more weeks but it is way too cold for me. That is actually what I’m most upset by, because I despise treadmills and have really enjoyed the progress I made with running this year. Now you might be saying “Jaimee, those sound like excuses” – but see, my problem has never been getting out and exercising. I love working out. I hit up the gym this weekend and felt great – despite my body being insanely sore from upping my weights! But, admittedly, I am awful when it comes to the cold. I’m a terrible Canadian that way.
But much like lat year, just because it’s too cold outside doesn’t mean I can’t get my butt over to the gym! So I did rejig my fitness plan a fair bit. I plan on getting over there minimum 3 days, ideally 4 days a week for strength training and cardio. I still want to try a class, so I might do that this coming weekend if there are any (I’m not sure if any of the instructors have taken the weekend off for the holiday.)
Two of those days I’ll hit the treadmill so that I don’t lose too much steam over the winter, because next year I plan on doing my first Half Marathon. I haven’t chosen one yet. I’m planning on kicking off race reason officially in June with the Nike Women’s 15K – it will be my first 15k race, also! Looking forward to it 🙂
I’m trying to be particularly mindful of my diet these days as well, learning how to keep my protein levels up for optimal training. I feel like I wasn’t getting enough over the summer so I burnt out on a few different occasions, I’d really like to avoid that going forward. Buying some protein powder to assist with that shortly, too.
I really want to hit goal by the end of this year. I know I will feel so much better when I do. Then I want to sit on maintenance calories for a couple weeks before deciding if I want to lose more or just focus on re-comping.
For my FitBit, I want to keep hitting a minimum 10,000 steps/day. So far I’ve been able to do that.
It’s going to be a tricky fall/winter, because I’ll be so busy working dual jobs – but I know I can do it as long as I keep my mind steady, my body healthy with rich nutrients, and keep sweating it out at the gym. Day by day…. week by week…
There are 12 weeks left in the year, and I am currently 10.2lb from goal. At a pound a week, I’ll make it.
